Welcome to Julien Joly, counsellor, psychotherapist, and supervisor
Julien works from Dublin. He is a Masters graduate of The Gestalt Institute of Ireland and has worked in the therapeutic field for over 25 years. He is accredited with IAHIP. Julien offers his experience, knowledge, and expertise to support clients to understand and come to terms with their personal difficulties. He works with trauma, anxiety, depression, loss and grief, survivors of sexual abuse and violence, addictions, LGBTQI+ issues, couples, and relationships dynamics.
Julien welcomes men and women of all ages, couples, and teenagers (16 years old + with parental consent) who are interested in self-awareness and personal growth. His work offers people a possibility to explore psychological, cognitive and behavioural patterns. Matters that are explored in the therapy help develop in the person the notion of healthier boundaries and brings clarity to their process and roles in any relationships.
One of the foundation of Julien’s work is creating a safe environment to support clients who are looking deeper inside themselves, in search for meaning. Side by side, he works collaboratively with each person with the view to offer them the most supportive emotional and mental transformative experience. His intention is to provide a support that will help every person to develop a more authentic sense of themselves, and develop newness in their relationships as they seek-out different outcomes. Julien works with a beginner’s mind, creatively adaptable he is attentive to each person’s needs with compassion and a non-judgmental regard.
Julien is part of the team at the Gestalt Institute of Ireland and he co-runs their Personal Development programme. He is also a practitioner and teacher of Zen Shiatsu Therapy, exploring and working through the lens of a holistic approach through touch and energy work.
Julien is an Accredited Member of the Irish Association of Humanistic and Integrative Psychotherapy (MIAHIP).
He is also an Accredited Member of the Shiatsu Society of Ireland.
